Ai 'Bodies' Drawing Session at The Tropicana

MEETING TIME :: 7 am - 9:30
WHERE :: The exhibit is in Tropicana's exhibit and convention hall. The quickest way to get there, is through Exit 4. The entrance faces Hooters.
WHEN :: Wed. Sept. 13
MATERIALS :: Sketch pad and charcoal.
A Doctor, and curator for the exhibit will be giving a talk and will be sharing with us. He will begin promptly at 7: 20. Please be there on time. Many of our instructors will be around to help and will be at certain stations
This is pretty exciting stuff, I went there this morning to scope out the place. Its marvelous and it has made me approach life drawing in a completely different way.

Art Institute of Las Vegas students interested in drawing at the 'Bodies exhibit at the Tropicana on Sept. 13 should sign up on the signup sheet in the lifedrawing room. Please sign in so we have a headcount of how many will attend. We will be at the exhibit before it opens to the public.

On Friday, Aug. 25, Neil Linssen, sculptor from Madame Tussauds will be dsicussing the art of sculpture and will be bringing examples. There will be two presesntations in room 141:
11- 12 pm & 1 -2 pm.
Ask him questions and be prepared to be inspired.

Welcome and congratulations on making it to another quarter. It is a great pleasure to act as your guide for the next 10 weeks. Remember to do your best, have fun and be fierce when it comes to creating the best work you possibly can make. Keep your eyes on the prize and be persistent, for it is your greatest power. If you need help, let me, any of the staff or your Academic Directors know.
To encourage you, refer to this site for what was covered in your class and to see what was assigned for homework. Use this site to help you stay on top of things during the quarter. You can also access the Ai email login screen at the top of the page. If there is any way I can improve this site to better help you, please let me know.
